Ostatni dzień miesiąca, więc najwyższy czas na wpis w ramach Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego. Czerwcowa edycja, prowadzona przez Maniexa z bloga maniexite, eksploruje temat brzmiący: „Tak każe obyczaj”.

The last day of the month, so it's high time for an entry as part of the Miniature Blog Carnival. The June edition, hosted by Maniex from the maniexite blog, explores the theme: "This is the way".

Długo nie wiedziałem, co przygotować na tę edycję. Potem praca zaatakowała mnie ze wzmożoną siłą i pogodziłem się już z myślą, że tym razem odpuszczę. Na przekór bardzo napiętemu grafikowi postanowiłem jednak wybrać się na turniej Warheima do Krakowa. Aby to zrobić, musiałem przygotować modele. A że czasu było mało, malowałem wieczorem i nocą tuż przed samym turniejem — czyli dokładnie tak, jak każe obyczaj!

For a long time, I didn't know what to prepare for this edition. Then work attacked me with increased strength, and I accepted the thought that I would skip it this time. Despite a very tight schedule, I decided to go to the Warheim tournament in Kraków. To do that, I had to prepare the models. And since time was short, I painted in the evening and at night right before the tournament itself — which is exactly the way!

W ten sposób, zupełnie niespodziewanie, zrealizowałem temat FKB. Z dumą prezentuję balistę do Warheima FS dla mojej Załogi Zielonoskórych Kaprów.

In this way, quite unexpectedly, I fulfilled the FKB theme. I proudly present the ballista for Warheim FS for my Greenskin Privateers Crew.

Model to projekt od Avatars of War, wydrukowany w domu i poddany delikatnej konwersji.

The model is a design from Avatars of War, printed at home and subjected to a delicate conversion.

Iron Brotherhood from Micro Art Studio aka Skitarii Ranger/Vanguard - Part 2

🛠️Iron Brotherhood wkracza do akcji! Gotowe! Modele, które zapowiadałem pod koniec września, są już w pełni pomalowane i, co najważniejsze, gotowe do boju! Moja armia Adeptus Mechanicus powoli, ale nieubłaganie rośnie w siłę i zyskuje charakter. Zdecydowałem się na egzotyczne posiłki: to oddział Iron Brotherhood od Micro Art Studio. Posłużą mi one jako alternatywa dla jednostek Skitarii Rangers lub Vanguard w moich szeregach. Początkowo, przyznaję, podchodziłem do tego projektu z lekkim dystansem, nie mając wygórowanych oczekiwań co do metalowych modeli. Jakże miło zostałem zaskoczony! Okazało się, że wyglądają znacznie lepiej niż się spodziewałem, świetnie wpasowując się w gotycko-technologiczny klimat 40K. Aby w pełni wtopiły się w moją armię, wykonałem drobne konwersje – uzupełniłem figurki o oryginalne bit'sy uzbrojenia Games Workshop. Dzięki temu ich wyposażenie jest spójne z resztą mojego Mechanicus. Prawdziwym hitem w tym projekcie okazały się washe olejne. Malowanie było celowo utrzymane w prostej kolorystyce, ale gdy tylko nałożyłem warstwę washa, rzeźby ożyły! Oleje fenomenalnie wydobywają detale i tekstury, sprawiając, że metalowe figurki nabierają głębi i brudu, idealnego dla wojennych maszyn. Jestem naprawdę zadowolony z ostatecznego efektu i cieszę się, że dałem szansę modelom spoza głównej linii GW. A co Wy o nich myślicie? Podzielcie się w komentarzach: Jakie niefacjalne (proxy) modele Wy wykorzystujecie w swoich armiach i dlaczego akurat na nie padł Wasz wybór? Chętnie poszerzę swoją wiedzę o alternatywnych producentach!

🛠️ The Iron Brotherhood Marches to War! They are finished! The models I announced at the end of September are now fully painted and, most importantly, ready for battle! My Adeptus Mechanicus army is slowly but surely growing in strength and gaining some serious character. I decided to opt for exotic reinforcements: this is a squad of the Iron Brotherhood from Micro Art Studio. They will serve as proxies for Skitarii Rangers or Vanguard units in my ranks. Initially, I must admit, I approached this project with a slight reservation, not having high expectations for metal miniatures. How pleasantly surprised I was! It turns out they look much better than I expected, fitting perfectly into the Gothic-technological atmosphere of 40K. To seamlessly blend them into my army, I performed minor conversions—I supplemented the figures with original Games Workshop weapon bits. This ensures their armament is consistent with the rest of my Mechanicus force. The real game-changer in this project turned out to be the oil washes. The paint job was deliberately kept simple in color scheme, but as soon as I applied a layer of wash, the sculpts came alive! The oils phenomenally bring out the details and textures, giving the metal figures a depth and grittiness ideal for war machines. I am genuinely happy with the final effect and glad I gave models outside the main GW line a chance. What do you think of them? Goblin's squig propelled raft - FKB ed. 134

🎨 Statek Piracki z Kołem! Wjeżdżam na Karnawał u Kapitana Haka! ⚓ Gdy Kapitan Hak ogłosił temat na Figurkowy Karnawał Blogowy na ten miesiąc, dosłownie przebierałem nogami! Już wtedy na warsztacie czekał idealny kandydat. Bo co mogłoby lepiej odpowiedzieć na temat „KOŁO” ogłoszony przez Kapitana Haka niż: GOBLIŃSKI PIRACKI STATEK Z NAPĘDEM KOŁOWYM (Zasilany siłą jednego Squiga!) [Drop the mic!] Mówiąc krótko: siadło idealnie! 🤩 Ta absolutnie dzika konstrukcja powstała z myślą o ostatnim turnieju Warhiem FS – Złoto i Glony, gdzie pełniła rolę tratwy transportowej dla mojej Załogi Zielonoskórych Kaprów.  To było prawdziwe wyzwanie! O samym turnieju, wrażeniach i tym, jak mi poszło, postaram się napisać już w najbliższym czasie. Tymczasem, zapraszam do oglądania! Dajcie znać w komentarzach, co myślicie o tym goblińskim „cudzie” techniki!

🎨 The Pirate Ship with a Wheel! Joining Captain Hook's Carnival! ⚓ When Kapitan Hak announced this month's theme for the Figurative Blog Carnival, I was literally stamping my feet with excitement!  I already had the perfect candidate waiting on my workbench. Because what could better answer the theme “THE WHEEL” announced by Captain Hook than... A GOBLIN PIRATE SHIP WITH WHEEL DRIVE (Powered by the might of one Squig!) [Drop the mic!] In short: it landed perfectly! 🤩 This absolutely wild contraption was created for the recent Warhiem FS – Gold and Slime tournament, where it served as the transport raft for my Crew of Greenskin Privateers.  It was a real challenge! I plan to write about the tournament itself, my impressions, and how I fared, in the near future. In the meantime, I invite you to take a look! Iron Brotherhood from Micro Art Studio aka Skitarii Vanguard - Part 1 - FKB ed. 133

Poprzedni wpis na tym blogu był w lipcu, więc naprawdę nie wypadało, abym nic nie przygotował na Figurkowy Karnawał Blogowy (FKB). We wrześniu Koyoth wybrał dla nas temat: Egzotyczność. Choć pierwotnie miałem inne plany, niestety brak czasu pokrzyżował mi je. Na szczęście wpadłem na modele, które same w sobie są dość egzotyczne. Ich sklejenie oraz wprowadzenie małych konwersji było w sam raz, aby w mocno ograniczonym czasie popchnąć projekt do przodu. Dziś przed wami: Iron Brotherhood produkcji Micro Art Studio Modele są metalowe, co dziś już samo w sobie jest egzotyczne. Producent już dawno przestał je produkować i wydaje mi się, że całkowicie zrezygnowali z tej linii. Armia, do której dołączą – Mechanicus, sama w sobie jest bardzo egzotyczna. Modele będą zapewne reprezentować jednostkę Skitarii Vanguard. Wygląda na to, że mimo niesprzyjających warunków udało mi się dołączyć do Karnawału! Co sądzicie o takim zamienniku figurek?

The previous post on this blog was in July, so I really couldn't let myself show up to the Figurkowy Karnawał Blogowy (FKB) without a submission. In September, Koyoth chose the theme for us: Exoticism. Although I originally had other plans, a lack of time unfortunately scuttled them. Luckily, I came across some models that are quite exotic in their own right. Gluing them together and making some small conversions was just right to push the project forward within a tight schedule. Today, I present to you: Iron Brotherhood by Micro Art Studio The models are metal, which in itself is exotic these days. The producer stopped making them ages ago, and I believe they've entirely discontinued the line. The army they'll be joining—the Mechanicus—is also very exotic. The models will likely be representing the Skitarii Vanguard unit. It looks like, despite the unfavorable conditions, I managed to join the Carnival! What do you think of this kind of miniature substitute?

Wyly the killer squig - FKB ed 128

I doczekaliśmy końca niezwykle aktywnego miesiąca na tym blogu. Aktywnego, bo każdy miesiąc, w którym poza FKB pojawia się coś jeszcze, jest tu prawdziwym świętem aktywności. Ale przejdźmy do konkretów. Wysunięta szczęka, krzywy zgryz, kaprawe oczka i paskudny temperament – nie, to nie opis nieudanej randki z Tindera ani plakat wyborczy dla niesłyszących, to: Wyly the Killer Squig Pomysł ekscentryczny, żeby nie powiedzieć szalony, ale zrobiłem to. Przed Wami squig orka w całej okazałości. Przyznam, że nie zawsze jestem w stanie przewidzieć, do czego doprowadzą moje szalone konwersje. Tematem naszej kwietniowej zabawy były "Niewyjściowe Facjaty" i choć początkowo miałem zupełnie inny pomysł na to, co pomaluję, to Załoga Zielonoskórych Kaprów całkowicie zdominowała ten miesiąc swoimi uroczymi stworzeniami. Dzisiejszy wpis wieńczy tę serię i na jakiś czas wyczerpuje moje zasoby dla tej bandy. Kompletna seria squigów dla Kaprów składa się z: Mięsożerne małże - przywołane squigi Klasyczne czerwone pomidory Rekin squig oraz właśnie Wyly'ego Na dziś to już wszystko! Z ciekawością czekam na to, co przyniesie nam majowe FKB.

And so we've reached the end of an exceptionally active month on this blog. Active, because any month where something other than FKB appears is incredibly active here. But let's get down to business. An overbite, crooked teeth, beady eyes, and a nasty temper – no, this isn't a description of a disastrous Tinder date or a campaign poster for the hearing impaired, it's: Wyly the Killer Squig An eccentric idea, not to say crazy, but I did it. Behold, the ork squig before you. I must admit, I'm not always able to control what these mad conversions will bring. The theme of our April fun was "Unpresentable Faces," and although I initially had a completely different idea of what I would paint, the Crew of Greenskin Gitz completely dominated the month with their charming creatures. Today's post concludes the series and, for the time being, exhausts the reinforcements for this gang. The complete series of squigs for the Gitz consists of: Carnivorous clams - summoned squigs Classic red tomatoes Shark squig and indeed, Wyly That's all for today! I'm curious to see what FKB will bring us in May.

Sea Creppers aka summoned snotlings

Przywołanemu snotlingowi nie zagląda się w muszle. Następny wpis na blogu który nie jest karnawałem. Muszę uważać bo jeszcze ktoś się przyzwyczai, że coś się tutaj dzieje.  Dziś przed wami powiedzmy Snotlingi. Raczej Snotlingi. Zdecydowanie konsekwentnie raczej Snotlingi. W każdym razie tak będą wyglądać moje przywoływane przez Kapitana Zielonoskórych Kaprów Snotlingi w trakcie rozgrywek Warheima. Modele to prawdziwe muszelki (które miały tez epizod bycia naszyjnikiem a potem bransoletką na kostkę) zmiksowane z bitsami tyranidów z warhammera 40k.  Malowanie tych stworków było szybkie i przyjemne a główną inspiracją były farby które akurat miałem na palecie przy okazji malowania miedzy innymi squigów które ostatnio pojawiły się na blogu.  Nie jest to też pierwszy raz kiedy wcielam do bandy snotlingi - modele które reprezentują "normalne" modele snotlingów możecie obejrzeć tutaj - wraz z ich historia i renowacją jakiej je poddałem.

You don't look into the shells of a summoned Snotling. Another blog post that is not a carnival. I have to be careful because someone else will get used to the fact that something is happening here. Today, let's say Snotlings. Snotlings, rather. Definitely, consistently, Snotlings. In any case, this is how my Snotlings summoned by the Captain of the Greenskin Privateers will look like during Warheim games. The models are real shells (which also had an episode of being a necklace and then an ankle bracelet) mixed with bits of Tyranids from Warhammer 40k. Painting these creatures was quick and pleasant and the main inspiration were the paints that I happened to have on my palette when painting, among other things, the Squigs that recently appeared on the blog. This isn't the first time I've included snotlings in my warband - you can see the models that represent "normal" snotling models here - along with their history and the renovation I've undergone on them.

Shark Squig!

To squig! To rekin! To rekin-squig! I tak to wpis na blogu który nie jest wpisem karnawałowym. Szok i niedowierzanie. Podczas przygotowań do ostatniego turnieju Warhiema potrzebowałem dodatkowych pomidorów do mojej Załogi Zielonoskórych Kaprów wpadłem na pomysł tej konwersji. Bazą jest wydruk zwykłego squiga, płetwa grzbietowa to bits tyranidów a reszta to greenstuff.  Malowanie było łatwe i przyjemne (Dzięki tutorialowi znalezionemu w sieci :P) a efekt końcowy jak dla mnie idealnie pasuje do moich kaprów.  Poprzednio zrobiłem Mięsożerne małże - przywołane squigi Klasyczne czerwone pomidory Wciąż czeka do malowania jeszcze jeden skonwertowany squig - nie będzie to rekin ale konwencja będzie podobna. Dajcie znać co myślicie

It's a squig! It's a shark! It's a shark-squig! And so this is a blog post that is not a carnival post. Shock and disbelief. While preparing for the last Warhiem tournament, I needed additional tomatoes for my Greenskin Privateer Crew, and I came up with the idea for this conversion. The base is a printout of a regular squig, the dorsal fin is tyranid bits and the rest is greenstuff. Painting was easy and fun (Thanks to a tutorial I found online :P) and the final effect fits my privateers perfectly. Previously I did Carnivorous clams - summoned squigs Classic red tomatoes Still waiting to be painted one more converted squig - it won't be a shark but the convention will be similar.
